Privacy Policy

The Adept's College of Magicians ("we", "us", "our") operates the Temple Khet website and mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, username, location.
• Membership application: responses you provide in the Acolyte and Initiation applications (magical practice, goals, background, etc.).
• Usage data: pages viewed, events RSVP'd, documents downloaded, notification preferences.
• Donations & payments: processed by Stripe and Zeffy. We do not store full payment card information on our servers.

Device Permissions

The mobile application may request the following device permissions. Each permission is only used for the explicit purpose described below, and only when you actively choose to use that feature:

• Camera: used solely so you can capture and upload a profile picture or attach a photo to a community post or initiation submission. Photos are sent directly to our secure storage and are not shared with third parties. We never access your camera in the background.
• Photo Library / Storage: used to select existing photos to upload for the same purposes as above.
• Notifications: used to send you the alerts you have enabled in Account Settings (new documents, newsletters, events, and event reminders). You can disable these at any time from your device settings or in‑app settings.

How We Use Information

• To provide and maintain the Service.
• To verify your identity and process your membership application.
• To deliver newsletters, ritual materials, and event information you have access to.
• To send administrative communications and the push notifications you opt in to.
• To process donations and patronage tier benefits.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the platform (Base44 hosting, Stripe/Zeffy for payments, Canvas LMS for seminary students) and only as required to deliver the requested feature.

Data Retention & Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Account → Delete Account in the mobile app. This permanently removes your user record, membership, and associated data.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
